Darkspire Retreat: Gothic Living Space

This project involves the design of the social areas for a single-story single-family home in Walnut Creek. The clients are a young couple in their mid-30s, currently without children, seeking a functional and visually cohesive space that reflects their unique aesthetic preferences.

The primary focus is the kitchen, which the clients have emphasized as a key area requiring both practicality and design harmony. Their desired style is a distinctive blend of Gothic, Baroque, and contemporary elements, unified by a bold and dark color palette.

Through thoughtful integration of these stylistic influences, the design will aim to create an elegant and atmospheric space that balances historical richness with modern functionality.

Mediterranean Living: Maltese Tiny Home
Project Overview

This project showcases the design of a tiny house located in the heart of Malta, blending traditional Mediterranean aesthetics with innovative spatial solutions for maximizing space. The concept was driven by a desire to create a compact yet comfortable home that embraces the island’s rich architectural heritage while addressing the modern challenges of limited square footage. Inspired by Malta’s warm hues, intricate tile work, and sun-soaked rooftops, the design features natural materials, arched doorways, and handcrafted elements that evoke a sense of timelessness. This project exemplifies how thoughtful design can balance aesthetics and functionality, transforming small living spaces into vibrant, livable environments without compromising on style or comfort.
